EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Conditioner – Review

Hello hello!

Today’s post is about the EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Conditioner that I received in my winter 2013 Loose Button Luxe Box.

Hair products are one thing that I don’t play around with. I like the products that I use at the moment and don’t feel the need to look for something else. But I love receiving samples like this because it’s just enough to try new products without committing to a full size bottle, and at the same time you get a few uses out of them – as opposed to the one-time-use foil packets.

So, what did I think about this conditioner? Keep on reading to find out..!

The conditioner is free of sodium chloride and paraben. It’s also gluten free and vegan.

The first thing I do with any new product is smell them. This conditioner has a sweet perfumy smell to it. It’s a bit stronger than my regular conditioner, but my regular one smells quite light so I would say that this one’s scent, strength-wise, is regular. I still really like the scent.

After your hair is all dry though you don’t really smell the sweetness anymore and it’s kind of just fresh, and quite light. I really enjoy it and can’t stop smelling my hair! 🙂

When you put it in your hair it almost feels like you didn’t put anything at all.

You know how when you rinse your hair after using conditioner your hair just feels soft and kind of slippery? You don’t get that feeling with this one. Your hair is still soft, but I did not get that slippery feeling that I’m used to.

Which brings us to the next point…

Detangling Powers

Since I didn’t get the usual slippery feeling after rinsing this one out I was expecting my hair to be a big ball of tangled mess. However, the comb went through my hair as well as it did with my regular conditioner. I was happily surprised about that! And it seemed that every day I used this product my hair felt just a little less tangled than the day before.

Bottom Line

I LOVE this conditioner! I was really unsure the first time I used it (while I was in the shower), but as soon as I put a comb through my hair, and then saw how soft my hair was after I was all done, it took all of my doubts away.

I really want to buy this conditioner and I want to try the shampoo too! The only place to buy in Canada is on SkinFX.ca. They are a bit pricy though, at $24 for the shampoo and $25 for the conditioner (250mL each). They also have 1L bottles at $72 and $75.

It’s not often that a hair product wows me like this and I really want to try it some more.

What do you use as shampoo and conditioner and do you highly recommend them?

– Chantal 🙂
