Hey guys!
Today’s post is about the (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito Lip Balm that I received in my January Ipsy Glam Bag.
I love lip balms, but I’m very picky about them. Some lip balms actually dry out your lips and cause a dependance to them. I used to be addicted to those types of lip balms and couldn’t go 15 minutes without something on my lips. I finally kicked that habit 2 years ago and since then I’ve still been wearing them, but I don’t need them.
Let’s see how this one did…

Applicator
This lip balm doesn’t really have an applicator; it’s just a regular tube with at hole at the end.

I tried applying it directly to my lips from the tube and that resulted in blobs all over my lips. So the finger application method is required with this product, which I’m not a big fan of.
Scent
The scent is very faint. I do detect a bit of lemon in it, but not much.
Texture
This lip balm feels like Vaseline. It’s thick and has that slippery feeling just like Vaseline does.

However, once that slippery feeling wears off (after 1-2 hours) you’re left with sticky lips. Not fun. I even tried wiping my lips to get rid of that stickiness, and nope, it wouldn’t go away. You pretty much have to wait it out.
And since you have to apply it with your finger, you need to wipe your finger on something – not your hands – otherwise you’ll have sticky hands.
Effectiveness
I find it hydrates my lips very well and it does not leave me feeling like I need more once it has worn off.
Bottom Line
I find this is a great lip balm for these cold winter days. When you go out it’s nice to feel that your lips are protected from the chilling wind. The scent is very mild as well so it’s not overwhelming. However, I don’t like the sticky feeling that it leaves behind so I don’t use it much.
Have you tried this lip balm?
