Ipsy Glam Bag: February 2014

Hey everyone!

I received my February Ipsy Glam Bag this week, yay! It’s always exciting to receive these subscriptions because the contents are always a surprise (unless you peek at your Glam Room beforehand). Granted they can be hit or miss, but for me it’s usually more a hit than a miss – I’m easy to please. 😉

The theme for this month is The Look of Love: Get ready to set your gaze on beauty goodies so good that you’ll fall in love at first sight!

Let’s find out what I got…!

$ Note: all prices are in US dollars. $

The bag this month is hot pink with an animal print inside.

POP Beauty – Plump Pout Mini in Fuchsia Freesia | 4g sample | full size: 8.5g / $16

This plumping pout perfector combines the high-shine of a lacquered gloss with the long wear of a stain and is packed full of lip-plumping peptides and avocado and jojoba oils. Lightweight, creamy texture immediately merges with lips & delivers intense glossy color for an extremely long-lasting finish!

I always love trying new lippies and this colour looks hot!

Zoya – Nail Polish in Dot | full size! | $9

This season’s Zoya Nail polish are full of pure pigment, intense color and modern complexity that are a perfect transition into Spring.

Nail polish, OH YEAH! 🙂

Tini Beauty – Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One, in Violette | full size! | $18

Say goodbye to creasing and fading with Eyetini Eye Cordial Shadow Tint & Base. Eye Cordial’s revolutionary formula glides on beguiling creamy color and sets to a transfer-resistant finish that doubles as a wear-extending base under powder shadow.

Just sweep on with wand, blend with fingertips or brush, and allow to set. Add additional shades or powder shadow as desired to create gorgeous eyes that make it through last call.

Not sure about the colour, but I’ll still give it a try.

skyn ICELAND – Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud | 1 mask sample | full size: 6 masks / $39

This 10-minute weekly treatment polishes and re-texturizes skin to reveal a luminous, youthful translucence for a fresh start. This two phase detoxing and brightening mask is an anti-aging, dullness-diminishing super power. Phase I is made up of blue clay and a 13,000 year old oxygenating mud from the Ice Age. Phase II is formulated with a highly effective AHA acid gel complex composed of 5 fruit and sugar acids that work deeply to detoxify and refine skin that’s been neglected, depleted and impacted by the stress and strain of a fast-forward lifestyle. The clay phase goes on with a refreshing, cooling sensation and when blended together with the Activating Gel, it effervesces into a warming sensation that oxygenates, clarifies and smoothes the complexion in minutes. Skin soother aloe vera gel makes this safe and effective for even sensitive types.

I’ll have to check the ingredients to see if I can use this during pregnancy, and if I can I’m looking forward to trying it out. I’ve never put a 13,000 year old oxygenating mud from the Ice Age on my face before! 😉

J.Cat Beauty – Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue | 1 set | $3.99

Cause a ruckus as you bat your voluminous faux eyelashes! Each includes an individual eyelash adhesive for endurance through a night on the town!
– Eyelash glue is latex free
– Perfect for sensitive eyes
– Lashes can be used up to 10 times
– Creates the perfect natural look

I’ve always wanted to try false eyelashes. I wish I would’ve received more of a full look though, but I’ll still have fun with these.

Overall I’m very happy with this bag. The value comes to about $40 which is good.

I see a lot of repeat brands, but I’m getting new items to try from them so I can’t complain cause the products I’ve tried before were really good.

The Ipsy Glam Bag is a monthly subscription that costs $10 in the US and $15 for us Canadians. Each month, subscribers receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products.

Subscribe now to receive your own Ipsy Glam Bag. (This is my invitation link.)

Have you tried any of these products?

Chantal 🙂
