NYX ”Surf” – Swatches and Review

Happy Hump Day! πŸ˜‰

Are you having a good week so far? I’ve been feeling exhausted for a few weeks now due to my pregnancy, but I’m in my 35th week so there’s not much longer to go before we finally meet our baby girl. SO EXCITED! πŸ˜€

One of my favourite nail polish colour, and the one I probably have the most of, is aqua/mint/turquoise shades. I know lots of people love that type of shade too. I don’t know what it is about it, but I’m always drawn to it. And today I’m sharing with you NYX “Surf” which falls right into that category.

The brush on this bottle is wide and thin, but the wide side is really not that wide.

This polish has a thin formula – it feels watery – and it pools at the cuticles. It applies very streaky and pulls at the cuticles as well.

I did 2 medium coats because didn’t want to have to do a 3rd one. That gave me full coverage, and the top coat fixed any unevenness in the finish.

You can see a slight shimmer in the bottle, but it’s not noticeable on the nails.

I loved the end result because I love this colour, but since I have lots of polishes in this shade I don’t feel like this one is a must-have given the formula.

Have you tried NYX polishes (in any colour)? How was the formula for you?
