Deborah Lippmann ”Human Nature” Nail Polish – Swatches and Review

Hey everyone!

Are you a fan of True Blood? I sure am! And sadly this Sunday is the series finale. ๐Ÿ™ So I decided to do a True Blood weekend where I’ll be showing you three nail polishes from Deborah Lippmann‘s Forsaken collection.

Today I’m starting with Human Nature which is part of a duo called Sookie Sookie. I don’t have the packaging anymore, but you can see it in the picture I posted when I received it. The other polish in this duo is called Fairydust.

This polish has the typical round brush, although I find it a bit on the small side. It still works well and I’m able to do only three strokes per coat of polish (sometimes smaller brushes require more strokes).

This colour is described as a mortal putty taupe. I really like the colour, but it does not go well with my skin tone at all.

The polish is a bit streaky and patchy, but the formula is self-levelling. It’s also a bit sheer so I used three coats, but it’s very shiny on its own so I did not put a top coat. Look at that shine!

This colour might not go well with my skin tone (I don’t think so anyway), but I’m sure I’ll find some use for it in some nail art. Plus, it says True Blood on the bottle. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This was part of a birthday gift that my husband got me a few years ago from the HBO Store, but they don’t seem to carry the nail polish anymore.

Come back tomorrow to check out the next colour I’ll be showing you!

What do you think of this colour? Are you a Truebie?
