Today I’m showing you essie “power clutch” that I received in my Summer 2015 Luxe Box. This is also the base colour I used for my black & grey gradient I did not too long ago.
I’ve never been a fan of the essie brushes because they’re short and small. I find they don’t get enough nail polish on them and I seem to have to dip my brush in the bottle more than usual (to get more nail polish).
When I first saw the bottle I was not a fan of the colour because it seems to have a green tint to it. But then I looked up swatches online and they seemed to be a nice deep grey. And then I tried it and was so relieved that there was no green tint to it – it really is a beautiful grey.
The formula is great too. In these pictures I have two coats and no top coat.
Turns out the bottle is really deceiving for this nail polish because it does not look the same on the nails as it does in the bottle – which I am relieved about (green is not my colour).
power clutch is a beautiful grey and a shade I did not have already so I’m really happy to have it.
What do you think of this colour? Is this something you would wear?

I love the way that shade looks on your nails! You’re so right, it looks so much better out of the bottle.

I’m really happy it did not have the green tint on my nails cause I was not liking it in the bottle.
