How are your weeks going so far? Better than ours I hope! Both my husband and our daughter are sick with the flu, and yesterday my husband found out he has strep throat so today I’m bringing my daughter to the doctor’s to have her checked out – especially since she’s the one who got my husband sick. She hasn’t complained or showed signs of a sore throat though so that’s comforting, but she’s still quite sick and it’s not letting up. I’ve been ok so far by loading up on vitamins and keeping as clear from the germs as possible, so far so good… *knock on wood*
Today I’m back with another nail polish from Joe Fresh called Petunia. This is one of the very first Joe Fresh nail polishes I bought back in 2012. At the time I was just getting into nail polish and dit not know how to recognize a sheer nail polish. I bought this one thinking it was a creme polish, boy was I wrong! I ended up loving it regardless. Let’s take a look…
Same brush as the others and I love them.
Petunia is a sheer polish described as a gel-pearl deep fuchsia. It has this violet iridescence in it that is beautiful. The formula is quite sheer, but applies beautifully. There are no streaks or patches and it is self-leveling.
I added a white base on my ring finger and only added one coat of Petunia over it. All other fingers have three coats, and none have a topcoat. Look at that beautiful shine.
The picture from the very first time I tried it really does it justice, look at that beauty – and my long nails!
This polish is perfect for a jelly sandwich, here is one I did with it back in 2012.
Totally not the nail polish I expected it to be, but it ended up being a gem! I need to do more jelly sandwiches with it.

I just can’t make myself like sheer polishes. Its a pretty pink shade but I feel like I would just keep applying coats to try and make it opaque haha. I do have some other great Joe Fresh polishes though!
lol! Yeah, sheer polishes are not for everyone, but I do love one with a good formula.
