Have you heard of the nail polish brand Prim + Proper? They’re Canadian (woo!) and are exclusive to London Drugs. Their formula is 7-free: no DBP, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, xylene or TPHP. And they carry a huge range of colours with fun Canadiana inspired shade names. Sounds great, eh? 😉 I have the shade Victoria Violet to show you today so let’s take a look!
This is my first time trying Prim + Proper and I was excited when I saw their wide brushes! I find this brush type makes applying nail polish much easier because less strokes are required to cover the entire nail.
With Pantone’s colour of the year being ultra violet, you can definitely satisfy the desire to wear it on your nails with this shade. Victoria Violet is a beautiful cool-toned purple that required two coats for full opacity.
This nail polish has a beautiful shiny finish on its own, but I always add a topcoat because it gives the manicure a smoother finish and makes it last longer. I went four days before my nails started chipping, which to me is a good stretch.
I’m really happy with my first experience of Prim + Proper and definitely want to try more shades!
What do you think of this colour? Have you been sporting some ultra violet this year?
