Green Beauty Sheet Masks with Burt’s Bees, Boo Bamboo, and Orgaid

For the month of April, Jayne (Cosmetic Proof), Renee (See the World in Pink), and myself used face masks from green beauty brands in celebration of Earth Day/Month. However, I really droped the ball with my sheet masking in April and I’m now trying to catch up. Here are the only four face masks I did in April (womp womp 🙁 ).

Burt’s Bees Hydrating Sheet Mask with Clary Sage

This mask has a very mild scent. It’s a bit herbal/grassy, but very pleasant. The material is one of the thickest that I have used. The mask feels like it’s a bit dry, although it was dripping at the chin when I had it on my face. It was very odd. The mask is very big, I had to fold it back both at the temples and the ears otherwise it was covering my ears. It also had a lot of slits all around.

I kept the mask on for 5 minutes. This is one of the shortest wear time that I’ve had for a hydrating mask as they are usually at least 15 minutes long. I massaged in the remaining essence. The essence was very thin, just like water. It fully absorbed within a few minutes but left my face a bit tacky.

I really did not enjoy this mask, and Jayne tried it too and she was not impressed either.

I bought this Burt’s Bees sheet mask for $4.99 CAD on Well.ca. Honestly though, don’t bother.

Boo Bamboo Hydrating Charcoal Bubble Sheet Mask

The mask has a very faint natural scent that I find pleasant. The material is very soft, and the fit is good. I did cut between the eyes to make it fit better at the top of the nose, but that was all I needed to do in terms of adjustments. The bubbling was not very intense at the beginning, but the more I wore the mask the more it bubbled and tingled. The picture below was taken right before I removed it.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. While massaging the leftover bubbles it was kind of foaming like a soap a little bit. Then I rinsed it off and proceeded with the rest of my evening skincare routine. My face felt fresh and hydrated.

I bought this Boo Bamboo sheet mask on sale for $5.51 CAD (reg. $6.49) on Well.ca.

Orgaid Vitamin C Revitalizing Organic Sheet Mask

This mask has a VERY pleasant scent. It’s a little bit sweet and I REALLY enjoy it. The mask material feels a little bit stiff, but it still spreads easily across the face. The fit is actually quite good. I had to do my little cutting tweak between the eyes to make it fit better at the top of the nose, but otherwise everywhere else was fitting well. I was totally expecting to have a mask goatee given the little stiffness of the mask, but I did not. It did stick up where the mask was folded, but otherwise, the mask stayed on my chin. And that was even while doing my bed during wearing the mask.

I kept the mask on for 30 minutes. After removing the mask I massaged in the remaining essence. There was very little left and it was fully absorbed in less than a minute. My face was a little bit tacky, but it was very little so I proceeded right away with the rest of my evening skincare routine. My face almost looked brighter, whiter. It’s like some of the redness was toned down significantly.

I really enjoyed the scent of this mask. Looking at the ingredients I can’t figure out where it comes from because it did not feel citrusy. It was sweet, but not in a fruity wait. It was just a very mild sweetness that I really REALLY enjoyed.

I bought this Orgaid sheet mask for $7.99 CAD on Well.ca.

Orgaid Greek Yogurt Nourishing Organic Sheet Mask

This mask has a very mild scent. I can’t quite figure out what it smells like, but it’s a pleasant scent. It’s not the same as the Vitamin C mask though. But the fit is the same. I expected this mask to have a creamy white essence because of the Greek Yogurt name, but it’s a clear essence like the Vitamin C mask.

I kept the mask on for 30 minutes. At this point, the mask was drying on my face and it kind of stuck to my skin in some places. It came off easily though. I then massaged in whatever was left around my face, which was not much. There was no tackiness to this one so I proceeded right away with the rest of my evening skincare routine.

I bought this Orgaid sheet mask for $7.99 on Well.ca.

Final Thoughts

I think it’s clear, but stay away from this Burt’s Bees mask. It’s the only one that I’ve tried from the brand so I don’t know how the other ones are, but this one is just not good.

My favourite of the bunch was the Orgaid Vitamin C Revitalizing Organic Sheet Mask, it seriously smelled SO GOOD! The Boo Bamboo mask was really fun to do, and the other Orgaid mask was good too. You can’t go wrong with these three.

Have you tried any of these?
