When 198 Fancy Me was part of Bio Seaweed Gel‘s colours of the month sale back in January I had to pick it up. It didn’t end up being as dark as I expected, but still, it did not disappoint.
198 Fancy Me is described as a gunmetal blue sparkle with a solid finish. I find that it’s a bit sheer, but the opacity builds up with the layers. It was 98% opaque with three coats, and it sure looked opaque to the naked eye. But raising my fingers in front of a light showed a few patches so I added a fourth coat for 100% opacity. I’m very picky that way.
The blue sparkle base is a shimmer so up close you can see streaks in the finish, but you cannot see them at a regular distance.
The label on the bottle is darker than how the polish looks on the nails. But that’s ok, I still love the colour that it turned out to be.
198 Fancy Me is a beautiful colour and I’m really happy to have it in my collection.
