This post is long overdue because I wore this nail polish at the beginning of December! This is the beautiful 599 Balthazar from Looky‘s Festive Collection.
599 Balthazar is a beautiful dark magenta colour with some iridescent specs in it. It has a bit of a crelly finish (creme-jelly) so I went with 4 coats for better opacity. But, you don’t need to use a base coat or a top coat, so those four coats are all I have on my nails.
The colour on the bottle is a bit darker than what it actually is, but that’s ok. It’s not always possible to get it 100% accurate, especially with crelly finishes. It’s still close enough.
The colour does look different depending on the type of light you’re in. These pictures were taken in daylight on a cloudy day, so they have more of a blue hue to them. This next picture was taken in my basement under a warmer coloured light, so it has more of a yellow hue to it.
Regardless of the lighting condition you’re in, 599 Balthazar is gorgeous, plain and simple.
