Hey everyone!
I received this polish in my winter 2013 Loose Button Luxe Box. Let’s take a look at Essie “Imported Bubbly”.
The brush is the typical Essie brush; it’s round and small.
This colour is described as luxurious golden beige and the polish has a shimmer sheer finish. The actual finish reminds me of a pearl.
It is definitely on the sheer side; in these pictures I have 3 coats and you can still see some visible nail line. I did not put a top coat though because it has a beautiful shiny finish on its own.
The formula is very streaky when the polish is wet, but goes mostly away once dry. You can still see some streaks, but they faded a lot.
I think this colour would be perfect for a wedding.
I didn’t have any colours like this in my collection so I’m glad I got this one.
What do you think? Do you have colours like this?
– Chantal 🙂
I was hesitant about this color, but decided to buy it since I don’t have anything comparable. I put one coat of it over two coats of Ballet Slippers and it really helps the color to pop and Ballet Slippers hide the color of my nails underneath.
I’m typically partial to deeper colors in the winter (think Smokin Hot, Merino Cool, Midnight Cami, No More Film, etc), but I love this as a shimmery, neutral alternative. I’ve seen it on several skin tones, and while I think it’s more impactful and striking on a darker tone, I like it on me as well. I am pale with green eyes, blond hair, and neutral/cool under tones.

My apologies for my terrible polish application. Both of these colors are streaky and I’m still working on getting them to look nice. Any tips would be appreciated!

Streaky polishes are always tricky. Your application is clean and that’s great! The only thing I can say would be to keep your hand as steady as possible to keep the streaks straight. But when a polish is streaky, there’s not much to do to hide that, unfortunately.
I’m also partial to darker colours in the winter, there’s just something about dark, vampy polishes that I LOVE!
