Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette Review

Hi everyone!

Saying I was excited when the Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette ($51 CAD/$39 USD) showed up at my door is a bit of an understatement. I jumped of joy! And I was really excited to see that I received the palette in the shade Light/Fair since I have quite a fair complexion. Let’s see what it looks like and if I’m still as excited about it today…

Isn’t the packaging gorgeous?!? And the inside is just as pretty! The colours are quite neutral, but that’s right up my alley so I’m a happy camper.

This palette has everything you need to do a full eye look (base, crease, lid, liner & highlight) and two blushes.

The eyeshadows aren’t the most pigmented, but they create a beautiful soft eye look (which you’ll see below). The blushes are a bit more pigmented.

When I did my makeup for these pictures I used both blushes; one per cheek so you can see the overall look both ways. Romantic is a beautiful light baby pink and playful is darker and more of a dusty pink.

For my eyes I used all five eyeshadows: alluring all over my lid and up to my brows (you can’t see it, but I find it helps blend the other colours on top), then it’s dynamite in my crease and a bit above (cause when I have my eyes open you can’t see the colour in my crease), followed by passionate all over my lid (this one I tap it on with my brush). I applied breathtaking on my brow bone (you can’t see it below, but when it catches the light it adds a glow) then I finished with glamorous that I apply with my Sigma E65 Small Angle Brush. I also added glamorous to the outer half of my lower lash line and blended/smudged it with dynamite, and passionate to the inner half.

And here you have it, the full look with both blushes.

All of the products are very powdery, except for glamorous (liner shade). I find there’s a lot of kick up when I put my brush in the pan and I end up with lots of product on my brush. I also either have to do my eyes before I put on my foundation or put a tissue over my cheeks to catch the fall off, otherwise I end up with cheeks full of golden glitter from passionate.

That being said, I absolutely LOVE this palette! I’ve been using it every single day (that I’ve done my makeup) since receiving it. I always do my eyes the same as I mentioned above and for my cheeks I usually go with romantic, but sometimes I’ll add a bit of playful over top.

This palette might be too neutral/light/basic for some, but for me it’s perfect. I have my 23 month old with me in the morning so I spend most of my time watching her and am very distracted from doing my makeup so I need something that is easy and this palette is exactly that.

There are three other shades for this palette: Light/Medium (which I would also love to have), Medium/Tan, and Tan/Deep.

Will you be picking one up?

– Chantal 🙂
