Breast Cancer. I cringe when I hear those two words. You see, Breast Cancer took my mother from me back in 2010; it was her second battle with this horrible disease and sadly this time she lost. I’ve seen my mother be the strongest and bravest she ever was, and in the end, the weakest she’s ever been. She was, and always will be, my role model and my hero.
Whenever October rolls around, being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m always attracted by the various pink products that companies put out to help support various Breast Cancer foundations. Today I’ll be sharing a few of those items with you.
Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-powder with Limited-Edition Pink Cap ($31 CAD/$27 USD)
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Bumble and bumble dressed up Prêt-à-powder with a limited-edition pink cap.
In support of The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign, Bumble and bumble will donate $5.00 from the purchase price of the 2 oz. pink cap Prêt-à-powder to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), with a maximum donation of $41,000.
If you’re familiar with the Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-powder this is the exact same product, but with a pink cap instead of a black one.
The Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-powder with Limited-Edition Pink Cap will be available at participating Bb.Network Salons until December 31, 2016, while supplies last. Find a Bb.Network Salon near you.
BOBBI BROWN Art Stick Duo ($60 CAD/$50 USD)
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics continues to empower women and provide them with the necessary tools to Be Who You Are. This year, the brand is proud to support the efforts of The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign, with the Art Stick Duo, featuring two shades, one neutral and one bright, of wearable pink Art Sticks. These playful pencils give you lipstick and liner in one, comfortable wear and a creamy matte finish, that lasts.
In support of The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign, Bobbi Brown will donate $10.00 from the purchase price of this Art Stick Duo to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF).
Today I’m showing you the shade Dusty Rose which is the neutral shade of the duo.
This Art Stick glides smoothly on the lips and feels really creamy. It’s fully opaque in one swipe; my swatch above is only one pass. It does transfer though so careful who you kiss. 😉 But with minimal drinking and eating you can go several hours before having to touch up.
I’m loving the colour and find it perfect for the fall!
The BOBBI BROWN Art Stick Duo will be available exclusively at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics counters and www.bobbibrowncosmetics.ca until March 31, 2017, while supplies last.
EXCEL White Bubblemint gum
Wrigley, manufacturer of EXCEL Mixed Berry mints and EXCEL White Bubblemint gum, has been a proud supporter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation since 2006.
I always keep a tub of gum in my car and I usually go for the EXCEL Polar Ice, but when I see the White Bubblemint with the pink ribbon my hand is drawn to it like a magnet. And how cute are those gum pieces with a pink ribbon on them?!?
Travalo Refillable Fragrance Atomizers
For the month of October, Travalo, the leader in travel fragrance options, will donate 25% of all pink model sales of the Excel, Classic HD and Milano models to BrightPink.
Promotion only valid in the US and through US.TRAVALO.COM. Promotion expires midgnight November 1st.
These are awesome for carrying your favourite perfume with you. Plus they’re airplane safe so they’re perfect to bring with you during your travels.
One of the products I’ve always wanted to get is the pink toilet paper, but since my husband is not a fan I’ve refrained from buying it. One day I will though…! 😉
If it’s pink and supports Breast Cancer I WANT IT!
In all seriousness though, I really want to see a cure for this horrible disease. I’ve previously written in more details about how Breast Cancer has affected my family, and about how I’m considered high risk because of my family history. If you’re interested in reading that it’s in my post Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure 2013.
What cause(s) do you support?
– Chantal 🙂
