Hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract* – Sea buckthorn
Cetearyl glucoside – Formed by the condensation of cetearyl alcohol (fatty acid) with glucose. It helps skin and hair retain moisture, and gives a velvety after touch. (source)

Sodium levulinate – The sodium salt of levulinic acid, and is used as a preservative and skin conditioning agent in cosmetics and personal care products. (source)

Xanthan gum – Is used as a binder, emulsion stabilizer, emulsifying surfactant, as well as an aqueous viscosity increasing agent because of its capability to hold water, enhance freeze-thaw stability, and improve shelf life and help with the stabilization of a product. (source)
Limonene* & Linalool* (in the essential oils)

Avocado 24-Hour Replenishing Cream

This cream is meant for normal to dry skin or mature skin, and while I have combination skin that I don’t consider mature yet 😉 , I still wanted to try it. You see, I may have combo skin, but it’s also dehydrated (dehydrated skin lacks water and dry skin lacks oil). I’ve always bought products for combo/oily skin, but they’ve always left my face feeling dry and tight and just overall uncomfortable. In the past few years I’ve started using serums to help with hydration (after learning more about my skin and how to treat it), but even with that my skin can still feel tight with moisturizers meant for combo/oily skin. I’ve since switched to moisturizers for normal skin, and when I read about this Avocado 24-Hour Replenishing Cream it just sounded like a product I had to try.

Odylique Avocado 24-Hour Replenishing Cream

You know what? My face has been feeling great with this cream! When I wear it overnight (which is every night) I wake up with a plump and fresh face. And when I wear it during the day my face feels moisturized and comfortable. It does leave a teensy-weensy oily residue on my skin, but once I’m done with my makeup routine everything is perfect. And my skin doesn’t get oilier than usual during the day.

As far as reducing fine lines, I have not noticed any difference (I’ve been using this cream for 4+ weeks). It’s been a few years since I started using anti-ageing products and it’s rare that I see a difference when starting a new product. At this point, as long as the existing lines don’t get worse when I start a new product then it’s all good to me.

Calming Rose Super Tonic

The first time I used this rose tonic I was taken aback by the scent because it doesn’t smell like other rose mists I’ve used before. Then I noticed that it also has calendula in it so I’m guessing that this has something to do with it. It still smells lovely; it’s just not what I was expecting.

The other thing I noticed is that this is the best spritzer I’ve ever seen! It gives such a fine mist, and it almost covers all of my face with one spray (in the sense that it sprays wide). Seriously in love with this spritzer. I still spritz 2-3 times though because my face is thirsty.

As far as toners go, I’ve never noticed my face feeling any different whether I use them or not. I always use one because of what they’re supposed to do (restore PH balance and such), but otherwise I can’t really comment more about their efficacy. The only thing I can say is that my face is usually craving hydration after I’m done cleasing it so drenching it with a toner feels GOOD.

Final Thoughts

These are two great products from Odylique. If you have dry skin or normal skin, or heck even combo skin like I do (that is dehydrated), you HAVE to try the Avocado 24-Hour Replenishing Cream because it’s THAT good!

Have you tried products from Odylique?
