It’s been way too long since I’ve done a face mask. I really need to do them more frequently because I need more “me” time and they’re good for my face (obviously). I finally did one this week with this 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Face Mask ($1.99 CAD) and I also got to try these Facial Mask Mates ($10.99 CAD) from EcoTools.
First, let’s take a look at what’s in this mask.

7th Heaven Coconut Cream Mask
I absolutely LOVE the scent (and taste) of coconut so I was really happy to try this mask.
We’ve harnessed the hydrating goodness of fresh Coconut Water & added lots of lovely ingredients to our face mask to moisturise & hydrate, including super smoothing creamy Shea Butter.
This mask has a creamy white consistency (as expected given the product packaging). The scent is interesting and not quite what I was expecting. There’s a hint of coconut in there, but it’s not as coconut-y as I thought it would be. I still found it pleasant, but I can’t quite put my finger on what else it smells like.
You keep this mask on for 10-15 minutes. This one will not dry up; it remains soft and wet.
I think I left it on for 20-25 minutes because when working on a review there are mandatory pictures that need to be taken. 😉 And I was preparing for bed so I did other things too. After removing the mask my face actually looked plump and hydrated. It felt really good too. And the next morning my face still seemed to have a little extra plumpness left over.
And here is the mandatory mask selfie.
EcoTools Facial Mask Mates
Using a brush to apply my face masks is something I’ve been doing for quite a while now, and I usually remove my face masks with a face cloth. Trying new products to help with the task is always fun, so let’s see how these are.
The EcoTools Facial Mask Mates set is specially designed for an at home spa facial experience. This set includes a Mask Applicator Brush + 3 Mask Remover Sponges.
The mask’s handle is made of environmentally-friendly bamboo and the bristles are cruelty-free. The sponges are made from natural plant pulp.
The Mask Applicator Brush works really well at applying face masks. The bristles are soft and they distribute the product well.
The Mask Remover Sponge was a great alternative to using a face cloth and means one less item I have to wash. It’s soft on the skin and at the same time it gently exfoliates. It worked great!
You can do more than just remove face masks with these sponges; you can use them with your cleanser to clean your face too. I tried this and it worked really well! I definitely felt like I was getting a better cleaning compared to just using my hands. The sponges are very soft so they feel comfortable against the skin.
I really liked the 7th Heaven Coconut Cream Mask, and I mean I REALLY liked it! It smelled pleasant and it made my face feel great. This is a mask that I will purchase and redo.
The EcoTools Facial Mask Mates really make applying and removing face masks mess-free. If you don’t have a mask brush yet then I definitely recommend grabbing this kit. If you already have a mask brush then you should really get the 2 pack of Mask Remover Sponges ($4.99 CAD). I much preferred using the sponge over a face cloth, and I like that I can use it to clean my face as well. These I will definitely purchase once I’m out.
You can purchase 7th Heaven and EcoTools products on FarleyCo. There you will also find at what retailers you can purchase the products (seen on individual product pages).
Do you use tools to help with your face masks?
