This Spring, The Body Shop released two new products: their fast-absorbing Body Yogurts ($16 CAD) and their hydrating Face Mists ($10 CAD). I was lucky and quite excited to receive these products to try out and I’m sharing them with you today.

Body Yogurts

Meet our new 100% vegan body care range. Our cruelty-free Body Yogurts absorb in seconds and work on damp skin, providing 48 hours of lightweight moisture.

We all know that The Body Shop makes awesome body moisturizers so I was extremely excited to try these new Body Yogurts. I received the scents British Rose, Mango, Moringa, and Strawberry. They also have Almond Milk, and for a limited time, Banana.

The Body Shop Body Yogurts

This new, lightweight formula absorbs instantly (within 15 seconds) and provides up to 48 hours of moisture. These really do get absorbed really fast so you don’t have to wait before getting dressed. It’s even good to apply these as you’re just stepping out of the shower and your skin is still damp. These won’t leave your skin feeling sticky, but don’t go overboard with the quantity you use because then things will get sticky.

These claim to provide up to 48 hours of lightweight moisture. While I cannot confirm if this is true or not because I often take two showers per day (because I workout), they do offer a good dose of hydration and my body feels good after application. They’re not the same as a heavy body butter, but they still do a great job. They’re perfect for a summer moisturizer; lightweight and effective. And if you need a boost of hydration during the day, these are perfect to reapply.

My favourite one to use at the moment is the Mango scent because there’s something exotic about it. My second favourite is the Strawberry scent because fruity scents are just perfect for the summer. While I’m not a huge fan of floral scents, the British Rose scent is one of my favourite rose scents and I really do like it. The Moringa scent is a nice floral scent, but that one is not for me.

One last thing about these Body Yogurts, they are 100% Vegan.

Face Mists

Our Face Mists make it easy to give your skin regular hits of hydration without wrecking your makeup. Available in 5 nature-inspired formulas. Collect them all and you’re covered for any skin concern.

I have combination skin that tends to get oilier during the hot and humid summer months. Thanks weather… So, face mists aren’t products that I usually gravitate towards. When I saw these in my package I honestly did not think I’d be a fan and procrastinated a lot on trying them.

The Body Shop Face Mists

When I finally decided to give these a shot, the first one I tried was the Coco Calming Face Mist because it hydrates and soothes the skin. I figured it was a good one to use overnight and I love the scent of coconut. So I grabbed the bottle and started misting my face. OMG GUYS IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST MIST!!! The mist is so fine, I didn’t look like I used a hose to mist my face. And it smells SO GOOD! I think I sprayed my face like 20 times, no joke. Seriously in love with this one!!!

The second one I tried was the Mint Mattifying Face Mist over my makeup the next morning because (1) it’s mattifying, and (2) these mists are safe to use over makeup. Well, the spritzer on this one doesn’t create as soft a mist as the one from the Coco Calming Face Mist, so I had a wet splotch on my forehead, LOL! When using this mist I have to extend my arm as far as I can because if I don’t I look like I used a hose to mist my face. And even then I have to move the bottle as I’m misting because otherwise I still get wet spots on my face. As for the mattifying aspect, I tried it mid-day on an oily face and it didn’t do anything. However, when applying it right after doing my makeup it works great.

The Mandarin Energising Face Mist I like to use on weekends or on days where I don’t need to clean up as soon as I wake up. I mean, why bother if I’m just about to jump in the shower and wash it off, right? I find this scent very pleasant and it makes me feel happy.

The Rose Dewy Glow Face Mist has reflective particles in it, but I didn’t notice that many when I sprayed my arm (I was hoping to take a picture to show you).

And the Strawberry Smoothing Face Mist is supposed to help even skin tone and refine skin texture. I didn’t notice those kind of changes on myself, but the scent is very pleasant.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve made it this far then you already know that I’m a fan of these new products. The Body Yogurts are perfect moisturizers for the summertime and they smell wonderful. The scents stick around all day too, but in a very light way; they’re not overwhelming at all.

As for the Face Mists, the Coco Calming Face Mist I absolutely LOVE and use every single night before going to bed. The Mint Mattifying Face Mist I like to use after finishing my makeup, and the Mandarin Energising Face Mist lifts my mood in the morning.

Have you tried these yet?
