Kiss New York Luscious Shine Gel Lipsticks – Swatches & Review

I’ve always been more of a lipgloss person, but lipsticks have been growing on me in the past few years and there are now a select few that are in regular rotation in my makeup bag. I was really excited to have the opportunity to try the Kiss New York Luscious Shine Gel Lipsticks ($6.99 CAD), and two of them have found themselves in my makeup bag quite regularly!

Lush lips in one swipe. Our Luscious Gel Shine Lipstick is the go-to for bold color with a highly-pigmented and shiny finish.

First, let’s take a look at what goes into these lipsticks.

I really like how the caps show the colour of the lipsticks. It makes finding your colour so much easier when looking through your collection.

These lipsticks feel very comfortable on the lips. I find them moisturizing because when they wear off I don’t feel I need to reach for lipbalm. And when I wear them for multiple days in a row they don’t dry out my lips like I’ve had happen with other brands. As for staying power, I drink a lot during the day so I find I have to reapply every 1-2 hours. But that is normal for me. The darker shades will leave a stain on your lips (because they stained my forearm, lol).

I find that these have a soapy scent. It’s not a strong scent by any means, but I do get little whiffs here and there.
