When I hear Butter London I immediately think of nail polish. But, they also have makeup, and thanks to my friend Vanessa who sells Butter London at her spa, Blush Beauty Lounge, I got to try some! Today I’m sharing with you their Plush Rush Satin Matte Lipstick in the shade Thrilled.
First up, the ingredients list (taken from ButterLondon.com). This list is also specific to the colour Thrilled; each shade has its own specific list of ingredients (the colour pigments at the end vary by shade). Most brands usually do a “may contain” section that lists ALL the coloured pigments used for all the shades, but Butter London puts the exact list for each product. I like that.

The Plush Rush Satin Matte Lipsticks are forlumated WITHOUT parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, sodium lauryl sulfate, phthalates, BHA, triclosan, and they are cruelty free.
The colour Thrilled is described as a cool mauve. A short and simple description, and I agree with it. It’s definitely the type of shade I go for, and this one is a bit darker than the usual pink shades I pick so it makes it perfect for autumn.
The Plush Rush Satin Matte Lipstick moisturizes lips and makes them firmer, smoother, and better defined. I can definitely feel a cooling/tingling sensation when I put it on. Apparently 100% of women experienced an immediate increase in lip fullness, but I’ve never compared my lips before and after applying it (I never think about it) so I cannot confirm that claim.
This lipstick feels creamy and comfortable on the lips. It apparently has a champagne scent, but I can’t tell. It has a very light scent and I can only detect something when I hold it up to my nose. It’s a pleasant scent, but I couldn’t tell you what it is.
These lipsticks also have a magnetic cap so it won’t easily get loose in your purse if you just throw it in.
My first experience with Butter London makeup is a positive one and I want to try more! Vanessa raves about their mascara so I may just have to give it a try.
What makeup have you tried from Butter London?
