I’ve tried skincare products from Odylique before, which I raved about in my last post about them, but I had yet to try any of their makeup. I was extremely happy to receive some eyeshadows and lipsticks to try and I’m sharing them with you today. Let’s take a look…

Odylique eye shadows are easy to use and are the ultimate in care of the delicate eye area. They are formulated entirely from pure mineral colours, skin-caring organic plant oils and antioxidant extracts including calendula, chamomile and sea buckthorn, which are ideal for sensitive or mature skin.
I received three colours to try:
Sand – A versatile pale cream with soft shimmer.
Gold – A mid-gold for subtle overtones by day or a glamorous glimmer by night.
Bark – A rich matte deep brown to add subtle depth and emphasis.
Swatched on my arm, Sand and Gold came off really pigmented, but Bark applied a bit sheer. Because of that, the first time I used these eyeshadows on my eyes I figured that Bark would be best as a transition shade. It turns out that it applies a lot darker on the eye than in my finger/arm swatch and I had a dark brown spot in my crease – way darker than I thought and wanted. So I cleaned off my eye and started again. Also, Sand came off very pale on my lids – a bit too pale for my liking. I will try it again this winter once my tan is gone, but for now I find it perfect as a highlight on my brow bone.
The colours apply very well and blend easily. The consistency of the eyeshadows is nice as well. They’re not too soft that you get a lot of kick up when putting your brush in them, but they’re not too hard that you have to roll your brush forever in them either. I find them just right.
For this look I first applied Gold all over my lids. Then I took Bark and applied it in the outer corner first, then brought it up through my crease. I also used it as a liner. I finished off the look by applying Sand on the inner corner and on my brow bone. The colours look darker/deeper in real life; my camera settings were a bit too bright and it washed them out.

Our creamy, nourishing, natural lipsticks are bursting with organic plant oils and butters including jojoba and Fairtrade shea to provide a moisturising vitamin-boost to your lips.
I received their best-selling shade, #10 Rose Parfait (a flattering mid-rose pink with a subtle sheen), and their newest shade, #19 Peach Melba (a matte peachy pink shade that gives a beautiful ‘your lip but better’ colour).
The lipsticks apply very well and feel comfortable and hydrating on the lips. These colours also fade away nicely and once gone they leave my lips feeling soft and smooth. They have a very very faint natural/earthy scent to them. I only notice it if I smell them directly; not when applying them on my lips.
Rose Parfait is definitely a my-lips-but-better shade on me and I can see why this colour is their best seller!
Peach Melba is a beautiful peachy shade that is perfect for the summer.
Final Thoughts
I’m really liking these makeup items from Odylique! The eyeshadows in Sand and Bark will definitely get a lot of use. The shade Gold is beautiful, but I just don’t go for warm shades all that much, I’m a cool shades kind of gal. I’m still happy to have it though because I didn’t have a gold eyeshadow in my collection. The same goes for the lipsticks; Peach Melba is beautiful, but just not a shade I usually go for. Rose Parfait on the other hand is perfect and it even matches my new hair!
Really short version of this review: these are great makeup items and I highly recommend them!
