Joa Bath & Body is a Canadian Indie brand that has appeared on this blog before. I absolutely loved their products last time so I was really excited to receive more products to try. They have also updated their product labels, so let’s take a look at these new (to me) goodies and their fresh new labels.
Frost Lip Balm
Ingredients: beeswax (cera alba), coconut (cocos nucifera) oil, palm (elaeis guineensis) kernel oil, castor (ricinus communis) oil, vitamin E (tocopherol), stevia (stevia rebaudiana), peppermint (mentha piperita) essential oil
I tried the Frost Lip Balm before so I’ll keep this short. My thoughts on it have not changed: I LOVE IT! This one will not dry out my lips if I use it repetitively so it’s a good lip balm to carry around. I keep it in my purse and use it often.

Last time I had the Decadence Body Soufflé (chocolate – LOVE) and this time I received the Retreat Body Soufflé which is scented with lavender. I RAVED about the formula last time and, once again, my thoughts have not changed. LOVE!!! 💜 The texture is so cool with the air bubbles throughout the product, and you can really hear them pop when you dip your fingers into the pot to grab some lotion.
This lotion moisturizes really well and a little goes a long way. Since this one is scented with lavender, which helps with relaxation, I prefer to use it at night. I don’t shower often before going to bed, but I always wash my hands before settling down for the night so I use it on my hands. I also put a little bit on my décolleté and shoulders so that I can inhale the relaxing scent as I’m drifting off to sleep. When I feel that I have dry patches on my skin (like my elbows and shoulders) I’ll use some there too to give an extra moisture boost overnight.
Delightful Bath Bomb
Ingredients: Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, sunflower oil, sodium chloride, witch hazel, pink clay, fragrance
I love taking baths, but I rarely make the time for them. It’s just not something I regularly do so I don’t think about doing it. Since I received these bath bombs to try it gave me the perfect reason to take a bath!
A blend of nourishing salts eases away tension and helps draw out harmful toxins. Soak away stress and muscle pain with our bath bombs and be good to yourself!
The Delightful scent is cranberry and this fragrance is one of the very FEW synthetic ingredients that Joa uses (along with some preservatives). Everything else is all natural.
If you watch my IG stories then you’ve seen this already:
This scent is very pleasant and I felt quite relaxed in my bath. The bath bomb itself is actually moisturizing once it’s dissolved into the bath; my skin had a wee slippery feel to it, which I was not expecting and was a nice surprise. Once out of the bath my skin felt soft and moisturized. I still added more moisture with the Retreat Body Soufflé, but I could have skipped that step if I wanted to.
This bath bomb will leave a residue in your tube after it’s drained, but a quick wipe takes care of everything.
I still have one bath bomb left and I think I’ll use this one when I give myself pedicures. In the summertime, I like to do that every 1-2 weeks and I think adding a few pieces of the bath bomb to the water will make my feet even softer. Yes, there’s an idea! 😀
Ingredients: Water; saponified soybean oil, olive oil, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, castor oil, [cranberry seeds, fragrance] | [lavender essential oil] | [beeswax, honey, oatmeal]
The soaps are new for me and I received three to try: Delightful, Retreat, and Wholesome.
Handmade in small batches, our soap is crafted with quality, natural ingredients. Natural moisturizers make this creamy and rich bar a real treat for your skin. Be good to yourself!
Both the Delightful and Wholesome soaps have exfoliating bits in them (with cranberry seeds for one and oatmeal for the other) while the Retreat soap does not.
All three soaps work great! They do have the same ingredients base after all. 😉 I like to use the soaps directly on my skin, especially the ones with the exfoliating bits. I only do this lightly though because my skin gets irritated easily, so I do a few quick swipes with the soap then I lather it up between my hands and keep cleaning with my hands.
For me, the big test for a new body cleaning product (soap, body wash, etc.) is how good it is at cleaning/removing my deodorant (antiperspirant). There are some body cleansers that I’ve tried that just suck at cleaning my underarms and they feel all weird when I’m trying to clean off my antiperspirant. Do you know what I mean? Those get a huge PASS for me. That being said, I’m extremely happy to say that these soaps from Joa passed the antiperspirant cleaning test with flying colours!
These soaps leave a squeaky clean feeling on my skin, which I usually hate because that tends to mean they’ve stripped all of my natural oils/moisture and leave my skin feeling parched after my shower. However, these don’t do that; even though there’s a squeakiness to the cleanliness, my skin still feels good after my shower.
This is my second time trying products from Joa Bath & Body and I’ve now tried every product category that they have. I have nothing but good things to say about them, their products are amazing. You really need to try them!
My top recommendation is still their Decadence Body Soufflé that appeared in my previous review, but other than that all of their products are really really good so you can’t go wrong.
What product(s) of theirs would you like to try?
