(Linked products are to my reviews.)
Biotherm – Aquasource Everplump (sample) This moisturizer smelled good, like most Biotherm products do. But it could also be overwhelming for someone with scent sensitivities. When applying it, it felt like it had silicone in it (kind of like makeup primer feels). Looking up the ingredients online, I can see that dimethicone is the third ingredient, closely followed by dimethicone/peg-10/15 crosspolymer, and later followed by peg-10 dimethicone. So yeah, it has silicone in it. It moisturized well, but I wouldn’t purchase it because there are other moisturizers that I prefer.
Biotherm – Life Plankton Elixir (sample) Another product that smelled good in the typical Biotherm way. This serum absorbed quickly into the skin, but I’m not sure it did much for me. Granted, this was a sample so it didn’t last that long, but it didn’t do enough to impress me to go purchase the full size.
Biotherm – Aqua Bounce Super Concentrate I bought this back in the Spring when it was new to the market. It added a great hydration boost to my skin and made it feel great. I used this one at night, and after I finished the one below, I used this both morning and night.
Biotherm – Aqua Glow Super Concentrate I bought this one at the same time as the one above. I was using this one in the morning thinking it would give my face a glow, but I didn’t notice any difference. I almost expected this one to have a shimmer in it to help give a glow, but it didn’t. Regardless, I didn’t feel like this one did anything for me.
Biotherm – Skin Oxygen Night This was a great nighttime moisturizer that made my face feel great.
La Roche-Posay – Anthelios Mineral Tinted Ultra-Fluid Lotion SPF 50 I wear sunscreen on a daily basis, and when I don’t do my makeup, a tinted sunblock is what I use. This one worked well and gave me a very light coverage that was perfect for my no-makeup days.
AG Hair Care – Deflect Fast-Dry Heat Protector To be honest, I’m not sure how to evaluate the effectiveness of heat protectors, but I use them. Especially now that my hair is colour-treated and dry, I’ll use anything that’s supposed to help keep it healthy. This product I liked and I used in combination with the AG BB Cream Total Benefit Hair Primer (that I’m still using).
This empties post was almost dedicated to Biotherm, lol! I was in a Biotherm phase back in the Spring. The samples I received at the same time that I bought the full size products, and started using them in October when I went to Toronto.
Have you tried any of these products? What have you finished lately?
