Minor Figures Nitro Cold Brew Coffees – A Review

Back in December I won a giveaway from It’s A Vegan Planet on Instagram and part of my prize was the nitro cold brews from Minor Figures. They have three flavours and I’ll be sharing them with you today.

Minor Figures Cold Brew Coffees

Minor Figures is a company from the UK that makes iced coffees and coffee companions (oat milk, liquid chai concentrate, CBD post-coffee drops). Their iced coffees and oat milk are available in Canada at a few locations, It’s A Vegan Planet being one of them.

This one tasted like a delicious iced coffee. It wasn’t too strong or too weak, I found it just right.

Minor Figures Nitro Cold Brew Coffee – Latte

This latte has oats and sea salt in it that I felt gave it a bit of a peanut butter taste, like a peanut butter flavoured iced coffee. It was DELICIOUS! I could taste the coffee, but it wasn’t strong.

This one tasted like chocolate milk to me; I could barely detect the coffee taste in it. I chugged this one; it barely lasted more than one minute! SO. GOOD.

Minor Figures Oat M*lk

I have to give a shoutout to their Oat M*lk because it’s also DELICIOUS! It tastes like cereal milk (when you drink your milk after you’ve eaten all of your cereal). That’s how my daughter described it (she’s five, and we don’t even eat cereal at home!), and I also heard someone on the radio earlier this week describe oat milk as such. So I guess it’s the best way to describe it. I enjoyed drinking it by itself.

You can also add it to your coffee and it will NOT curdle! I was adding it to my regular coffees and it gave them a yummy taste; a bit of a nutty flavour.

Final Thoughts

I have to say that while I expected the Latte to have a few calories (lattes are made with milk – this one with oat milk – oats & water), I didn’t expect the Mocha to have more calories than the Latte. It really did taste like chocolate milk to me, and given its ingredients, I can see why (it also has oat milk in it).

Another thing to note: the Oat M*lk is not gluten free, as stated on the label: This product contains cereal that contain gluten (oat products). I can’t find any gluten message on the Latte and Mocha, but since they contain oats as well, people with gluten sensitivities and Celiac Disease may want to stay away from them, just in case.

After saying all this, I’m really happy that I won these drinks because they all tasted DELICIOUS!

Are you a fan of cold brews? Have you tried Minor Figures?
