I have not done a sheet mask since I finished #FaceMaskFebruary. At first, I needed time to catch up on my reviews, and by the time that was done, our evening routine with our daughter had changed and sheet masks didn’t fit in anymore. Fast forward to now and I’ve finally found some time for face masks again, yay! Today I’ll be sharing the 7th Heaven Superfood sheet masks that I received to try out.

These sheet masks are made with biodegradable bamboo material, which is nice. I realize that these one-time-use sheet masks create a lot of waste, so being able to recycle the mask is a nice addition. Since they are biodegradable I put them in our compost bin.
All three masks are very thick. They also have the same fit and they’re very big. They all had very little essence and the masks didn’t stick well to my face, I had to constantly pat them down back in place, especially around my chin. I kept all three masks on my face for twenty minutes.
Before doing all sheet masks I apply eye cream, retinol serum, and lip balm.
Avocado Oil
A skin-quenching superfood blend of richly nourishing Avocado, Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Vera to offer skin long-lasting 24-hour hydration, for a revived and refreshed complexion.
This mask smells nice, but I’m not sure it’s avocado-ish. It has a natural product type of scent and it’s pleasant. It’s also very light.
I had a constant mask goatee with this one because the material just wouldn’t lie flat.

When I removed the mask it was rather dry and didn’t even stick to my chin anymore. There was no essence on my face to massage in; my face was dry. It didn’t feel dry because it absorbed all the essence, but it was dry in the sense that there was no essence left. There was also no tackiness whatsoever.
I proceeded with the rest of my skincare as usual (hyaluronic acid serum and moisturizer). My face felt good.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A moisture-boosting superfood blend of cleansing Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Vera to offer skin long-lasting 24-hour hydration, in one simple to use biodegradable sheet mask.
This mask has a very STRONG perfume scent. It reminds me of a perfume I’ve already smelled, but I can’t remember which one. It’s pleasant and a scent I would actually wear, but it’s SO strong, almost too strong.
This mask has a tiny bit more essence than the Avocado Oil mask.
This mask stayed better under my chin, but I think it’s because I folded it differently than the Avocado Oil mask.

After removing the mask there was a little bit of essence left on my face. It took me about fifteen seconds to fully massage it in. There was absolutely no tackiness with this mask as well.
Since there was a bit more essence with this mask I skipped my hyaluronic acid serum and went straight to my moisturizer. My face felt nice.
The scent lingered on my face for a good half hour after I was done, it was really strong.
Rice Protein
A deeply nourishing superfood blend of Rice Protein Lipids, Sweet Almond Oil and Argan Kernel Oil to offer skin long-lasting 24-hour hydration, in one easy-to-use biodegradable sheet mask.
This mask smells sweetly fruity, kind of like a mango candy. It’s really pleasant, but a bit strong. Not as strong as the EVOO mask, but still strong.
This mask had the most essence of the three, but it was still very little. This mask also stayed better under my chin.

After removing the mask there was a little bit of essence left on my face so I massage it in and it took about fifteen seconds to be fully absorbed. There was no tackiness whatsoever afterwards.
I continued with my skincare routine as usual. I could’ve skipped my HA serum, but I’m just so used to applying it and I wasn’t thinking so I just went ahead with it. My face felt great.
The scent of this mask also lingered after I was done. It wasn’t as strong as the EVOO mask, but it still lingered for close to half an hour.
Final Thoughts
I have mixed feelings about these sheet masks. My overall feeling is that they were not my favourites because the fit was too big, there was not enough essence, and the scents were way too strong. However, the essence that they did have was really good; they hydrated my face very well and they left NO tackiness whatsoever.
If you really want to try this line I would recommend the Rice Protein sheet mask because its scent was my favourite of the three (even if it was a bit strong) and it seemed to have the most essence of them all.
These 7th Heaven Superfood sheet masks retail for $5 on ShopHali.
I’ve tried other masks from 7th Heaven before and they were all great (see my You may also like… section below). I don’t know what happened with this Superfood collection, but they just didn’t hit the mark for me.
Have you tried these sheet masks?
– Chantal 🙂
