I didn’t buy that many things in August so I will put everything in this post instead of doing two separate posts like I’ve been doing lately. So on that note, let’s get to it.
Looky
Looky was having a 20% off everything sale so I placed another order. I wanted more of their gel nail polishes and I also wanted to try some of their face masks.
The gel colours that I bought this time are 544 Kiwi (mint), 619 Biancaly (white shimmer), and 627 Laila (black shimmer).
I also bought two of their cuticle oils: Hand & Cuticle Oil in Ocean breeze and Cuticle Oil in Coconut. I’ll be reviewing both of these in the near future.
I wanted to try some of their face masks so I bought:
- Star Charcoal Peel-Off Mask
- Kiwi and Peach Purifying Duo Bubble Mask
- Smoothing Konjac Mask (sheet mask – 2 uses)
- Moisturizing Sheet Mask
- GOLD Anti-Aging Gel Mask
SHEIN
I bought a few more things from SHEIN, but some clothing items I returned because they didn’t fit me well.
Contrast Stripe Trim Hooded Teddy Jacket (size small)
This teddy jacket is SO SOFT! The inside is the same fluffy material as the outside. It doesn’t close; there are no buttons or zippers, but that’s ok. It’s been keeping me warm when I’ve been spending my evenings outside with my daughter.
No Show Period Panty (size medium)
These are very comfortable. They give me some visible panty line, but most underwear do that so it’s normal for me. I don’t use these as my main period protection; I wear a cup and these act as backup.

After getting the period panties I wanted to try their period thongs. I’m not used to wearing thongs so it’ll take some time, but they’re ok. I don’t have a picture of these because they’re in the laundry.
I bought other trinkets and accessories for my daughter, but I’ll show those in a roundup post I’ll do later about her advent calendar.
And that’s all I bought in August (minus a few clothing items that I returned to SHEIN).
