It’s been a while since I’ve done a sheet mask; these may be my first masks of 2022! While shopping at Winners and Marshalls this past weekend I saw some holiday-themed printed sheet masks from The Crème Shop. I miss doing sheet masks, and I love printed masks, so I just HAD to buy these.
Before putting on these sheet masks I cleansed my face, then added a toner and a hyaluronic acid serum.
Be Blissful, Skin! (Penguin)
Infused with moisturizing aloe & replenishing squalane
This mask smells floral, but I can’t figure out what exactly. Maybe it’s aloe, but it feels more floral than that. The scent is not strong, but it would probably be too much for someone with a sensitivity to scents.
The mask is drenched in essence, just like I love them. The fit is good. I cut between the eyes like I always do because that makes the mask lay down better over my nose and under my eyes.
Printed masks can be quite stiff because of the design, but this one is not stiff at all; it’s like it doesn’t even have a print on it. It does lift from the chin a bit, but that is because it doesn’t wrap far enough under my chin.
I kept this mask on for 15 minutes. After removing it my face was quite wet from the leftover essence. I massaged it in for quite a while, probably close to two minutes. Once I was done my face felt a bit tacky, but not too much. I added a bit of moisturizer, but less than usual. After about 30 minutes my face was no longer tacky and it felt great! It was well hydrated and moisturized.
This mask came in a pack of three and I’ll definitely do the other two masks.
Be Bright, Skin! (Bear)
Infused with brightening Vitamin C and moisturizing glycerin
I can barely detect a scent on this mask. There is one, but it’s very faint, and feels kind of fresh (when I feel like I can smell something).
This mask is not as drenched as the penguin mask, but it fits the same and the material feels soft (as opposed to stiff). I cut between the eyes again to make it lay down better, and this one also lifts a lot from the chin due to not being long enough.
I kept this mask on for 15 minutes. Since it was not as wet as the penguin mask, my face was dryer after removing the mask. There was still some essence left on my skin that I had to massage in, but it took under a minute to fully absorb. There was a bit of tackiness to my skin, but very little. I followed up with my moisturizers (eye & face) and once that was all absorbed my face no longer felt tacky. It felt well hydrated and moisturized.
This is another sheet mask that I will happily do again, and that’s a good thing because I bought two packs by mistake (one at Marshalls and one at Winners, woops) so I have five more to use.
Be Wonderful, Skin! (Reindeer)
This mask has a pleasant cranberry scent that is very light.
This one, like the penguin mask, is drenched in essence. The fit is good, but cutting between the eyes didn’t do much for this one. This mask was a bit more stiff on the top (where the brown is), so I wonder if that had something to do with it. It wasn’t too stiff though (I’ve had worse from other brands).
This one also lifted a lot from the chin so I cut two slits, one on either side of the chin, and that helped keep it in place. I only thought of that after taking the video and pictures though.
I was doing some pre-bedtime chores while wearing this mask so by the time I removed it I had it on for 20-25 minutes, which is totally fine. Although it was as drenched as the penguin mask when I first put it on, it felt dryer like the bear mask when I removed it, but only because I kept it on for a longer period. I massaged in the remaining essence for under a minute. My face felt tacky, but only a little. I proceeded with my moisturizers and about five minutes later the tackiness was gone.
Once again, I’ll happily do the other two masks from this pack.
Final Thoughts
I’m really happy that I bought these sheet masks; they were exactly what I needed to start masking again. All three had pleasant scents, they fit well, and they left my face well hydrated.
These would make great gifts and stocking stuffers for the beauty product lovers in your life. They’re available at Marshalls and Winners and retail for $6.99 CAD for a pack of three. The selection/availability does vary from store to store though.
I bought other prints as well so you can expect more reviews coming soon.
Have you tried holiday-themed printed sheet masks?
