Welcome to week 4 of #FaceMaskFebruary where I did a sheet mask every day for the month of February. I’m a bit late posting this, but I forgot about this post. Woopsie. But it’s here now! Both my daughter and I were excited to get to this week because of the masks that I had lined up. She chose the order of the masks for me every week and she always asked if we could use these ones.

I always do my face masks at night during my evening skincare routine. Before doing all of these masks I cleaned my face and applied my retinol serum and a lip balm. I specify with every mask what products I used after since it varies depending on how the masks make my face feel.
Most masks have a time range that they recommend to keep the mask on, like 10-20 minutes. All the times that I list below are the maximum that they recommended.
Feb 22 – Fashion Angels #BestSelfie
This mask apparently smells like avocado, but I’m not quite sure what that is supposed to smell like even though I love eating avocados, LOL! It has a very light scent that is pleasant though. I could get whiffs of it while I was wearing it, but not a lot. Just here and there.
There is a good amount of essence in the pouch. The mask itself is a bit of a thicker material and the print is making it stiff. That is nothing new though, masks with prints are usually stiffer.
The fit is OK. But because of the stiffness, it lifts easily off of the face and there is a permanent mask goatee that I cannot get rid of. Cutting between the eyes did not make it flatten down on the sides of the nose.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. After removing it I massaged in the essence that was left on my face and it took less than a minute to fully absorb. My face was very tacky so I used half the amount of hyaluronic acid serum that I usually use, then I proceeded with the rest of my products as usual minus the sleeping mask.
Feb 23 – Fashion Angels Donut Worry!
This mask is vanilla-scented and it smells like it. It’s a fake vanilla scent though, but it’s still pleasant. My daughter says that it smells like donuts (which also makes sense). I could smell the mask consistently while I was wearing it, which doesn’t usually happen for me with masks. So this one may not be good for people with scent sensitivities.
The mask has a good amount of essence, but it’s not drenched. The fit is good, but the mask is a bit stiff because of the print. I cannot get rid of the mask goatee. I did not cut between the eyes because when I did that with yesterday’s mask it did not do anything, so I did not bother trying with this one.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. It barely took 10 seconds to fully absorb the essence when I massaged it in. My face was rather tacky for the little amount of essence that was left. But it wasn’t too much so I proceeded with my skincare routine as usual, minus the sleeping mask.
Feb 24 – Fashion Angels Relax A Latte
This mask is supposed to have a coffee scent, but I find that it smells more like a French Vanilla cappuccino from Tim’s. It smells SO GOOD!
This mask, like the previous one, doesn’t have that much essence, but enough to stay on the face. The material is a bit thick and stiff so I have a permanent goatee, but otherwise, the fit is good.

I kept it on for 20 minutes. After removing the mask I massaged in the remaining essence on my face for maybe 15 seconds. My face was a little bit tacky, but not too much, so I proceeded with the rest of my skincare routine as usual minus the sleeping mask.
Feb 25 – Fashion Angels Looking Sharp
This mask is supposed to have a cucumber scent, and I can detect the coolness that is usually represented in cucumber scents, but there is also a very perfumy side to it. I don’t mind it though, I like it.
The fit of the mask is like the three others that I’ve done from this brand: the material is a little bit thick and stiff because of the print, and because of that, it does not lay down completely on the face. And I also have a permanent mask goatee. If it was not for the stiffness, I believe the mask would fit really well.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes. After removing it, I massaged in the remaining essence on my face for maybe 15 seconds. My face was a little bit tacky, but not too much, so I proceeded with my skincare routine as usual minus the sleeping mask.
Feb 26 – Naisture Brightening Arbutin
This mask has a bit of an herbal scent, kind of Aveda-ish. It’s very pleasant and also very mild. The more I had it on, the more I found it smelled like green tea.
There is a lot of essence in the pouch, but it’s not dripping down my neck once the mask is on my face. The fit is really good, I only had to cut between the eyes to make the mask lay flat on my nose, but otherwise, everything else was good. I could have folded it back at the temples since it was going into my hair, but I didn’t mind. It wrapped well under the chin and I did not get a mask goatee.

I kept the mask on for 15 minutes. After removing it, I had a lot of essence left on my face. It took about a minute of massaging it to fully absorb. Surprisingly, my face was not tacky at all. It was very hydrated, but not tacky or oily. I followed up with my skincare routine as usual minus the sleeping mask.
My face always feels soft after doing a face mask, but it felt EXTRA soft after this one. It was really nice.
Feb 27 – Naisture Moisture Green Tea
This mask smells like tea, but I find it’s more like English Breakfast tea rather than green tea. It’s still pleasant though, and mild.
The mask fits well. I cut between the eyes to make it lay better on the nose and I folded it back at the temples because it was going over my hair. Otherwise, the fit is good. It did give me a mask goatee though. There was too much material and it was too bunched up so it kept sticking out.

I kept the mask on for 15 minutes. After removing it, I massaged the essence that was left on my face for about a minute. There was barely any tackiness to my skin so I proceeded with my products as usual minus the sleeping mask.
Feb 28 – Naisture Elastic Q10
This mask has a very pleasant scent, just like the previous two from this brand. I find it has a little bit of an English breakfast tea sent, but not as much as yesterday’s mask. There’s also a little hint of something else too, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s all very faint, but very pleasant.
There is a lot of essence to this mask, just like the other two. The fit is really good as well, the same as the other two.

This is a 15-minute mask, but I kept this one on for 20 minutes. When I removed the previous two sheet masks from this brand there was a lot of essence left on my face, so I figured it could be left on for five minutes extra.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take notes after removing this mask and I don’t remember my thoughts on it. I’m sure it was similar to the previous two masks from Naisture, which I really enjoyed.
Final Thoughts
I bought the Fashion Angels sheet masks at Toys r Us (in-person, pre-pandemic) and the Naisture sheet masks were gifts from friends. This was my first time trying both brands.
The Fashion Angels sheet masks were fun to try, but I don’t plan on buying them again. I don’t like it when sheet masks are stiff and don’t lay well on the face. When I do a sheet mask I want it to cover as much skin as possible, and these ones were stiff and lifted off from the face. I expected that though because most printed sheet masks do that. I bought these because I knew they would be fun with their prints.
The Naisture sheet masks were really nice and I want to try more from this brand.
Have you tried these brands before?
– Chantal 🙂
