I was on vacation for three weeks and ended up taking an impromptu break from blogging. Now that I’m back to work, I’m back to blogging. August came to an end during that break so let’s take a look at the products that I finished in August.

Body

Hawaiian Tropic – Sunscreen Lotion with hydrating ribbons
I LOVE this sunscreen! It’s a sun block AND moisturizer in one, win-win! As soon as I start exposing more skin in the Spring (no more coats and pants) I use this product on my exposed body parts (lower legs, arms, décolleté) and I use my regular body lotion on the rest of my body. It also has a subtle scent that I really enjoy; it just smells summery.
Face

Antipodes – Joyous Night Serum
(R) I had previously tried a mini version of this serum and fell in love with it. It smells SO. GOOD. I have to admit that it’s not empty, but I’ve grown out of using oils on my face (I go through phases with my products).
Bumble and bumble – Oops, I photographed this one in the wrong section! See hair products below.
Divine Essence – Organic Carrot Oil*
This face oil was nice and my face responded well to it. Apparently it can also encourage a deeper, longer-lasting tan, and when applied after sun exposure, can accelerate skin regeneration. Making it an excellent after-sun care. However, I can’t attest to those claims since I stopped using it as the warmer weather rolled in.
Marcelle – Micellar Water
(R) This is the one I always buy. Love the pump cap and it works well.
Soo’AE – Revitalizing Rose Mist
I love all the sheet masks I’ve tried from this brand so far, so I wanted to try more products from them. What I love about rose mists is their scent. But since this one is not just rose water, it doesn’t smell like roses all that much. It’s still a good mist/toner, and if you don’t like strong rose scents then this is a good one to try.
Hair

Baptiste – Dry Shampoo Plus (XXL Volume)
I bought this one at Rexall because they didn’t carry the COLAB Extreme Volume Dry Shampoo that I love, and I needed a new one. This one works just as well as the COLAB one in terms of adding volume, but I’m just not a fan of its strong floral scent. I did get used to it in a way, but I won’t repurchase this one because of its scent. Just a note, this dry shampoo is white so you have to work it in your hair, and it gives the kind of volume that you can feel, in the sense that it’s like you teased your hair (without having teased it). This is what I love about it! But I know some people hate that.
Bumble and bumble – Hairdresser’s invisible oil primer
(R) I photographed this one with my face products above – brain fart! This is a mini version that I received as a freebie with an order on the BB site. After finishing the full-size version I couldn’t help but finish this one. I will be keeping this bottle because it’s handy to bring to my daughter’s swim classes. I need to order more asap because nothing else I have works as good.
And that’s it for the products I finished in August. Have you tried any of them?
– Chantal 🙂
