The Canadian Beauty Bloggers’ featured brand this month is essie, and I had dive bar on my desk because I wanted to try it, so this was the pefect time! I wanted to pair it with a creme polish to do some quick and easy nail art and I chose mint candy apple. So this is what I created.
dive bar looks almost black, especially from a distance. But, shine some light on it and it comes alive with this blue shimmer that is absolutely gorgeous.
I was initially going to pair dive bar with a teal creme, but when I was looking at it under the light at my desk it wasn’t as teal-y as I thought it would be; it definitely had a blue shimmer. So I picked the blue version of mint candy apple to go with it and I find that it turned out great!
I wanted to do some nail art that was quick and easy and this is what I came up with. The only tool I needed was a dotting tool, but this could also be created with a bobby pin.
I’m really happy with the end result and will definitely play around with more simple nail art ideas in the future.
