I’ve been slacking A LOT with my monthly empties post, so here are my empties for the last three months of 2014!

October Empties
Baléa – 3 in 1 cleansing cloths
These worked well. They didn’t wow me, but were not horrible either. Just standard cleansing wipes. I didn’t get to try them with make-up since I almost never wear any nowadays, so I might try them back in the future to see how they are against make-up… maybe.
Cetaphil – Gentle Skin Cleanser
This is a product I had bought to bring to the hospital with me when I went to give birth back in June, but never used while there. I heard great things about this brand so I wanted to try it, but did not realize it was a soapless cleanser (like Spectro Jel) and I’m really not a fan of those. I still used it all since it was a small sample (and I hate to throw things away), but will not repurchase.
Institut Esthéderm – Repair System Restructuring Eye Contour (eye cream)
Honestly I find most eye creams I’ve tried all worked the same. None have stood out and none were horrible. This is a good cream, but it’s a bit expensive and there’s nothing special about it that makes me want to buy it.
noya – lip balm in vanilla
This is my second one (got both from Ipsy) and I really like it, but just not enough to purchase online. I would buy it if it was available in stores.
Jersey Shore Sun – Mongongo Lip Conditioner
I got this one in my August 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag and I didn’t get to use it because I think it went bad. I went to use it after I finished my noya lip balm and it smelled HORRIBLE! Definitely not the same smell when I opened it back in August.
Shiseido – Facial Cottons
REPEAT ITEM! LOVE THEM! Nuff said. 🙂
Vichy – Liftactiv Serum 10 Eyes & Lashes
I got this item in my Summer 2013 Loose Button Luxe Box and I finally used it! It was ok, I guess. Not sure what it was supposed to do and didn’t notice any difference with my eye area.
November Empties
Dove – oxygen moisture shampoo & conditioner
The shampoo made my hair extremely squeaky clean, waaayyy to much for my liking! The conditioner was a really good de-tangler and worked wonders on my crazy knotted post-pregnancy hair. The scent of these 2 was fresh, it was ok, but not something I’d like to smell in my hair on a daily basis.
Etude House – Eastern Grass Owl Hand Cream
I love these! But I will not repurchase because I want to try other ones.
Fresh – Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
I really liked this lip treatment and it worked great, but it’s expensive ($26) and went down way too fast (faster than normal lip balms).
H2O – hair repair seaweed masque
I bought this one at Winners for… $7 I think. It smells very earthy, which I liked because it was different. When I put it in my hair it felt like it disappeared and I didn’t really put anything in it. Once rinsed out my hair felt nice. I didn’t really notice any difference with my hair though.
Jergens – Ultra Care Moisturizer
This one is from my Fall 2014 Sample Source. It was creamy and hydrated really well. I really liked the scent too – it’s a body product scent, but in a really good way.
John Frieda – Touchably Full Shampoo & Conditioner
These came from my Fall 2014 Sample Source too, and it turns out that I tried them before. My opinion did not change. They’re ok, but the scent is not for me.
John Frieda – strengthen + restore shampoo & hydrate + rescue deep conditioner
More items from my Fall 2014 Sample Source. They made my hair feel very soft and it was wonderful. They had a perfumy scent that I was not too fond of though.
Pixi Beauty – Lash Booster Mascara
I’m throwing this one out because it’s been opened for too long. It was waterproof, but not oil proof and gave me raccoon eyes.
TRESemmé – Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment
I got this one a while back in my Glossybox of March 2013…! I was never a fan of the smell, but I just never threw it away. It de-tangles the hair really well so I’ve been using it lately (and finished it) with my crazy knotted post-pregnancy hair.
bare organics – organic lip balm in natural/honey
I received this lip balm in a MommiesFirst box and I absolutely love it! My favourite lip balm for sure! I still have a few (other brands) to go through, but I will definitely purchase this one in the future.
Life Brand – cotton pads
I really like these because they don’t make “cotton dandruff” as I like to call it. I wanted to repurchase them, but somehow came home with the Quo brand instead. Will repurchase them next time for sure.
December Empties
Fruits & Passion – 24h moisturizing butter for the body in apple illusion
This body butter moisturised really well and smelled wonderful.
I Love… – Strawberries & Cream body butter
This product smelled delicious and hydrated really well.
live clean – moisturizing shampoo & conditioner
The shampoo was okay, but the conditioner did not de-tangle my hair at all. I didn’t even finish it. The scent was just okay. These products were just not for me.
And that’s it! I’ll try to keep on top of things this year and post monthly (like I used to do) because otherwise it ends up making long posts and I like to keep mine shorter than this.
