I like to use a different cleanser for my morning and evening face care routines. Since I wash my face before going to bed, it’s sorta, kinda, clean in the morning in the sense that I don’t need to remove any makeup. But I do have combination skin so my face can be a bit oily when I wake up, and it’s also been touching my pillow all night long, which also touches my hair, so it indirectly gets dirty from whatever the city air “deposited” on my hair the previous day. Because of that, in the morning I like to use a cream cleanser that is more gentle on the skin since my face doesn’t need as thorough of a cleaning, but it still needs a cleaning. A couple of weeks ago I finished my morning cleanser, and since Neutrogena is the Canadian Beauty Bloggers’ featured brand this month I decided to take a look at their products and settled on their Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser Creamy Fragrance-Free Formula. Let’s take a look…

This creamy cleanser works in a skin-friendly way to leave you with clean yet naturally soft skin. The non-stripping, dermatologist developed formula cleanses even dry and sensitive skin.
There is no added fragrance to this cleanser and it really is odourless. If I bring it up to my nose and sniff in deeply I kind of get a plastic-y scent from it, but it’s VERY faint. I don’t notice any scent when using it.
This cream cleanser doesn’t lather up, but it still cleanses very well, although I’ve only used it in the morning and not in the evening when my skin is more “dirty”. What I can say is that when I’m done, the excess oil buildup is gone from my skin and it is left feeling soft and supple, not dry and tight like my evening cleansers usually leave me feeling.
This cleanser does exactly what I want it to do so I’m really happy with my purchase. Being a beauty blogger, I may try something else next time – I just can’t help myself, I love trying new products! But, I would have zero issues buying this cleanser again. Neutrogena is a brand that is easily available so if for whatever reason I don’t have the chance to try something new next time, I’ll definitely grab for this cleanser again.
What cleanser do you use?
