Now that September is over, let’s take a look at all the products that I purchased during the month. I sure buy more products than I finish. I need to slow down on my purchases. 😉
BUMBLE AND BUMBLE
Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer – This product appeared in my empties this summer and I’ve been trying to hold off on buying it again because I want to finish other products that I have, but they’re just not as good as this one. This one is a detangling goddess and it protects against heat and UV rays. It also makes my hair super soft. And it smells so good!
Glow Thermal Protection Mist – This product’s description sounded like something I need: This mist protects dried hair against heat tools (up to 450 degrees), repairs damage, and fortifies hair fibers to strengthen and help prevent breakage – for a healthy glow. Plus, it conditions and tames frizz; and revives hair between washes. I don’t wash my hair every day, but I straighten it almost every day because sleep makes it go all wavy. This product will be perfect for second and third-day hair when I need to straighten it again. I just HAD to try it!
Nu Colour – Curl & Lash Mascara – I have a hard time with mascaras; most of them smudge or flake on me. This one does not, and it’s been working great for me. I’ve been buying it for the past two years now. FULL DISCLOSURE: this company is an MLM and I have an account with them. I do not actively work the business anymore, but I can still sell their products.
SHOPPERS DRUG MART
Cake – The ‘Do Gooder (Volumizing Dry Shampoo) – This dry shampoo smells SO. GOOD! It’s like sweet pastries. YUUMM! I bought it because it says volumizing on it, but it’s still not as volumizing as the COLAB one that I love; it doesn’t give your hair that teased feeling. That being said, I only use a volumizing dry shampoo on the top of my head and I use a regular one for the rest, and this one from Cake is perfect for that! It’s become a top favourite along with coconut-scented ones.
Marcelle – Micellar Water Normal Skin – I haven’t finished the one I bought last month, but I don’t like that one. I don’t use waterproof makeup so I don’t need an oily makeup remover. I just had to repurchase the one I usually get, which is this one. Pump cap and regular micellar water FTW! I’ll still keep the other one just in case I need it at some point.
Oh K! – Chok Chok Brightening Gemstone Mini Masks with Quartz Extract – A lot of the Oh K! masks were on sale so I stopped to look at the display. This one wasn’t on sale, of course, but I couldn’t resist picking it up because it just looked fun to use.
I went shopping at Suzy Shier and picked up the two pieces below (sweater and cardigan). They were both 30% off, and I always get 10% on top of everything because I have their Prestige loyalty program card. I shop at Suzy Shier a lot. 😉
Nair – Wax Ready Strips Legs And Body Hair Remover – I first received these as a PR sample a few years ago and fell in love with them. I’ve been repurchasing them ever since.
OGX – Coconut Miracle Oil Dry Shampoo – I bought this one because it says Extra Strength on the bottle. BUT, it works just like all the other dry shampoos I have; it’s not volumizing like the COLAB Extreme Volume.
Soo’AE – Unicorn Glow Eye Mask – Do I need to justify face mask purchases at this point? 😛
The Crème Shop sheet masks – I was browsing the beauty section at Winners and couldn’t resist these fun printed sheet masks.
And that’s it!
I’m done buying dry shampoos for now. I clearly can’t find a dupe for my COLAB Extreme Volume, except for the Baptise that I finished in August. I wasn’t a fan of its scent, but I may just have to go buy it anyway since it’s the only one I can find that works the same as COLAB. I’m set for quite a few months with all the dry shampoos I purchased lately, lol!
Also, for October I’m going to try real hard to only buy replacement products (when I finish something), and not just because I want it. We shall see… 😉
Have you tried any of these products?
