I love cold brew coffees, and I love trying new brands. While browsing the cold drinks section at Loblaws a few weeks ago, I discovered that President’s Choice has cold brews! I just had to try them all, and today I’m sharing my thoughts with you.
Café Mocha
The first one I tried was Café Mocha, the chocolate flavour, and I was not disappointed! It had a great coffee taste that was not too weak or too strong with a nice hint of chocolate flavour. It was so good that I chugged it; I downed it in about two minutes.
French Vanilla
Then I tried the French Vanilla flavour. This one was good, but it wasn’t great. I found that the vanilla flavour was a bit strong and didn’t have enough sweetness to balance it out. There was still some sweetness to it, and it was a good amount too (not too sweet), but I found the vanilla flavour to be overpowering. It was still good and barely lasted five minutes.
100% Columbian
I used this one to mix with a protein drink after seeing this in Madeline’s IG stories (who got it from Samantha). But I took a sip before mixing it in, and the coffee flavour was good. Again, not too weak and not too strong, just right.
As far as mixing it with a protein drink, it was delicious! It’s something I’ll be doing again.
Final Thoughts
These were all delicious! The Café Mocha and 100% Columbian I’ll purchase again. As for the French Vanilla, I prefer another brand’s vanilla-flavoured cold brew (which I’ll share with you eventually). Don’t get me wrong, this one is still good, and I’d drink it again in a heartbeat. But if I’m able to buy the other one instead, that’s what I’ll do.
The thing I like about these is that they are available at Shoppers Drug Mart, so they’re easy to find/buy. And they’re also inexpensive. I don’t remember the exact price, but I think they were around $2.50 or something like that.
