Two posts in one week, who am I?!? 😛 I guess I had a burst of energy this week. Anywho. Now that we’ve looked at my May empties, it’s time to see what I bought during the month.

= repurchase (either same product/brand, or a different brand replacing same type of product)

Hawaiian Tropic – Sunscreen SPF 30 in Lotion and Spray (2 of each)
As I mentioned in my May empties post we’re huge fans of these products here. My husband prefers the spray, and my daughter and I prefer the lotion. The spray is quick and easy, and I do use it when we’re rushing to get outside. The lotion I like because it’s moisturizing. Swimming dries out the skin so when we need to reapply our sunscreen we moisturize at the same time. I bought two of each (not shown) because we go through these fast.

Quo Beauty – Resin Jaw Clips
I’ve been wearing my hair up daily during the quarantine and I already broke a hair clip so I bought more just in case. I really like these because they have some rubber grips on the inside that helps keep the hair in better. They also feel sturdy compared to the ones I already have (and have had for years).
Quo Beauty – Diamond Ceramic Cushion Brush
My current brush is old, and I mean OLD. Not sure when I bought it, but it was probably early 2000s and it has seen way better days. I’ve been looking for a new brush for a while and I like how this one has short bristles around the long ones. It also feels really good in the hand and brushes hair really well and comfortably.

SweetSpot – Cleanser (x2)
I’ve been repurchasing this product for a while now since I use it to wash my face in the morning.
Vichy – Minéral 89 Fortifying & Hydrating Daily Skin Booster
I’ve used this product before and really liked it. I bought this one to use after going in the pool. My face gets really dry after a swimming session so two pumps of this all over my face gives it a good dose of hydration. When I went to buy it, there were these combo packs so I grabbed this one to give the Neovadiol Rose Platinium Rosy Cream a try. There were two other versions (different creams), but this one seemed to better suit my skin’s needs (based on a quick read of the different products). When I opened the box I also found a sample of the Minéral 89 Eyes so I’m really happy to give that one a try too.
And that’s all I bought last month. I won’t lie, the itch to shop just for fun is getting strong. But there’s nothing that I need, and being home all the time, I don’t want to buy products that will just sit in a drawer.
How has your spending been going? Are you splurging on items just for fun, or sticking to only what you need?
