I hope you all had a nice long Easter weekend. Ours was busy. Since we have to work during the week, we spent a lot of time playing with our daughter over the weekend. I won’t lie, it’s draining, but it’s all worth it to see the smile on her face.
Being in quarantine has definitely slowed down my purchases. I’m concentrating on skincare right now, but I would have bought a few more things (mostly clothing) if it wasn’t for the quarantine. We usually shop online a lot (that’s nothing new for the quarantine), but we’ve still cut down to help lessen the burden on delivery staff. Also, most of what I purchased in March was before the quarantine.
= repurchase (either same product/brand, or a different brand, but same type of product)
Skincare

Caudalie Paris – This is the only purchase I did after the quarantine started and it was because I needed more daytime moisturizer. After really liking the Resveratrol [Lift] Night Infusion Cream that I tried, I wanted to try the daytime version: the Resveratrol [Lift] Face Lifting Soft Cream
. BeautySense has a Caudalie promo (it’s still on) where a $100 purchase gives you the Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil and the Micellar Cleansing Water for free, so I added in the Lip Conditioner to bring me over $100, tee-hee. The makeup bag was also a freebie with the cleansers.

elf – halo glow setting powder
I went to Rexall to buy the NYC powder that I love, but they were sold out so I looked for another one. It seemed that most setting powders I could find at the time were tinted and looked too dark for my skintone. This one was the lightest one of the bunch so I grabbed it (it has a pale yellow tint).
The Ordinary – Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
After finishing the Vichy Minéral 89 serum, I wanted to try a hyaluronic acid serum and I settled on this one. I’ve really been liking it so far.
The Ordinary – Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% – I read that niacinamide is supposed to be good for minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores so I decided to give it a try. I honestly can’t say that I’ve seen a difference yet (it’s been a month already), but we’ll see.
Quo – Rose Quartz Facial Roller – I’ve been wanting a facial roller for a while and I noticed the Quo rollers at Shoppers Drug Mart. Their price was good ($25) so I grabbed one. I don’t use it every day, but it feels really nice on the skin.
Clothing
I bought this dress at Winners at the beginning of March and I had the chance to wear it to work once before the quarantine started – woo! I’ve even worn it at home during the quarantine. My daughter likes to choose my clothes sometimes and she chose it one day, along with the leggings and socks (see second pic). 🙂

I just noticed that I’m wearing the same socks in both pics, lol! These photos were taken 3 weeks apart!
And those are my purchases from March. It was half and half on what was necessary and what was “just because”, but the added lipbalm to get the Caudalie freebies was worth it in my books. I already use micellar water daily (diff brand) and I use cleanser too (duh, lol). So those are two products that I would need to repurchase eventually anyway.
Have your online spending habits changed with the quarantine?
– Chantal 🙂
