Looky Face Masks: Peel-off Star Mask and Purifying Duo Bubble Mask

I’m a huge fan of the Looky 3-in-1 gel nail polish (more reviews coming soon), but they have much more than gel nail polish. Some of the products they have are face masks. I’m also a huge fan of face masks so I decided to get a few of theirs to try out. Today I’ll be sharing their Peel-off Star Mask and their Purifying Duo Bubble Mask. Let’s take a closer look.

Peel-off Star Mask (Charcoal)

The first mask I tried was the Peel-off Star Mask. This one had a light and pleasant scent. It was kind of fruity, but kind of not at the same time. Weird, I know, but it’s the best way I can put it.

I applied this mask with my Dollarama silicone sponge. It applied very well, and easily too.

This mask has a black jelly base with micro and large hexagonal glitters, and stars. How fun is that?!

The mask felt very cooling on the face. Not in a mint cooling effect kind of way, it just felt cool.

I let the mask sit for twenty minutes before I tried taking it off.

I definitely applied the mask too thick because it wasn’t ready to come off. I could feel it tight around my mouth since I applied a thinner layer there so that part was ready, but the rest was not.

I waited another ten minutes then I peeled off what I could. Some parts came off clean, but the middle of my cheeks and my forehead were still not dry. The parts that did peel off were not painful; they came off easily. I removed the rest with a wet face cloth.

After I rinsed my face off I finished my evening skincare routine as usual. My face felt soft.

I have enough product left for a second application and I want to use it again. I will definitely apply a thinner layer next time.

Purifying Duo Bubble Mask

I LOVE bubble masks so I was really excited to try this one. This mask has two separate products, hence the “duo”. The kiwi part (green) softens and refreshes the skin while the peach part (orange) helps to improve the elasticity of the skin and revitalizes the epidermis. The box also contains two applications.

I can’t say that the product smells like kiwi or peach, but they’re fruity and light and pleasant.

I also applied this mask with my Dollarama silicone sponge and it applied well and easily too.

The gel started to foam (bubble) about twenty seconds after being on my face so I had to apply quickly. I missed a few spots during the application so I’ll have to pay better attention next time.

What I love about bubble masks is that I can feel the bubbles on my skin; it’s tingly and it tickles lightly, it’s fun and pleasant.

This is a ten-minute mask, and you can see the bubble growth over time. I took a picture right after I was done applying the mask, and I took one every two minutes after that.

I could smell the scent of the mask while I had it on, it was light and pleasant.

I kept the mask on for ten minutes, after that I massaged it on my face a little bit then I rinsed it off. It definitely helps to use a face cloth to remove the mask otherwise you’d be rinsing for way too long.

Once that one was done I proceeded with my evening skincare routine as usual. My face felt great.

The scent of the mask lingered on my skin a little bit, but it was only whiffs here and there and it was very light.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed both masks and I will gladly do them again.

I will definitely apply a thinner layer of the Peel-off Star Mask next time. There are two other versions of the peel-off star mask and I want to try them too.

The bubbling effect of the Purifying Duo Bubble Mask did not disappoint, it bubbled perfectly! I’m happy that there are two uses in the box. Looky also has a Healing-Glow Duo Bubble Mask that I want to try.

I have nothing bad to say about these masks, they’re definitely worth trying. And you’ll eventually see the other versions of both masks on my blog in the future.

Have you tried masks from Looky? Are you a fan of peel-off masks or bubble masks?
