Happy Friday! And welcome to a new series called Five on Friday. Renee (See the World in Pink) has been doing these for quite a while and I always find them interesting. It’s a way to share things that don’t quite fit into a blog post/review. I’ve always wanted to start doing them too, but I never felt like I had five things to share every week, especially since the pandemic started and we don’t leave the house all that much. So I’ve decided that I’ll do them once I reach five things to share. So they may be every week, every other week, or whenever. ๐
One – ADOREYES Lash Serum
I bought the ADOREYES Eyelash Enhancing Serum back in late Fall and used it twice a day for five weeks (34 days to be exact). These are my before and after results.

When I first saw that comparison I thought that maybe I switched the pictures by accident, but I did not. Those are really before and after. Womp womp. (I used the same mascara to make sure that the comparison was accurate.) I stopped using the serum right away because it was clearly not working for me. Hopefully my lashes will get back to what they were before.
Do you use a lash serum?
Two – Burt’s Bees Lip Balm
The only lip balm that works for me right now is the Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with Vitamin E and Peppermint. I’ve tried other brands and I’ve tried other lip balms from Burt’s Bees and they don’t work; I feel like I need to constantly reapply them. This one is waxy and it stays on my lips. There is peppermint in it so you get that cooling/tingling feeling when applying it, which I enjoy. Bottom line is that it works. I already have two in the house and I bought a pack of three so I can have them EVERYWHERE, lol!
What’s your go-to lipbalm?
Three – Seven Sisters Tea
When I got bad reflux last year I stopped all the foods and drinks that can be triggers, and that included caffeinated teas. Now that things are finally better (have been for a couple of months) I started drinking caffeinated teas again last week. I’m quite low on my favourite green teas so I ordered some from a new-to-me company that Jennifer told me about: Seven Sisters Tea. They are a Canadian company from the GTA.
My two favourite teas are Jasmine and Genmaicha, so I got some of both. I also grabbed some Nutty Sencha because it sounded delicious.

I placed my order on Friday and it arrived on Monday, talk about speedy delivery!
I tried the Nutty Sencha first and it’s delicious! It has a nice nutty flavour that is not too much, and a wee bit of sweetness from the almonds. The Imperial Jasmine is so good! And the Genmaicha too, it has a nice roasted flavour.
I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.
Where do you buys your teas?
Four – Skincare Storage Case
I store my skincare products in a basket that I keep under the sink and it makes it easy to bring everything out when I wash my face. The basket works fine, but it’s not perfect. I saw an ad for makeup/cosmetics storage cases on Facebook and that lead me into a little rabbit hole of research. It made me want to upgrade my skincare storage so I did. I settled on this case and it’s perfect! It looks white, but it’s actually light grey (which I knew from reading the reviews).

Some items are too tall to stand up so I laid them down. The maximum height it will take is about 7″ and 3/4. Laying down you can go about 9″ and 3/4.
I bought it on Amazon, but these most likely come from Alibaba.
How do you store your skincare?
Five – World of Warcraft
I started playing World of Warcraft least week for the first time ever. Yep. I took the plunge. I’m not new to the world of MMORPGs though, I played The Lord of the Rings Online for a few years and stopped not too long before giving birth. It’s been almost 8 years since I stopped and I miss it. I used to be a raid leader too and I miss that fun of teaming up with people and whacking off bad guys.
My husband used to play WoW so he dusted off his old toons, I sucked him back in, muahaha. ๐ Our daughter tried it too and it’s all she wanted to play for a week, we all played together, but now she’s back in the land of Roblox. My husband and I are still in it though. I’m almost at 30 and I’ll be able to get my flying mount once I reach it, woo!

Are you a gamer too?
That’s what I have to share this week. If you like these kind of posts you can also check out Jayne (Cosmetic Proof) and Jill (Beauty Vixen) who have also recently started this series.
