This cleansing balm comes with a little spoon that is housed in a second cap which I was really happy to see because it makes it so much more hygienic.

Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Melting Cleansing Balm

I tried this cleansing balm both by itself and as part of a double cleanse. By itself, I don’t feel like it cleanses enough for me so the double cleanse is what I do. I always double cleanse anyway so this fits right in with my routine.

I have also tried it as the first cleanser and the second cleanser (with different products) and it works great both ways.

My favourite way to use this balm is to use micellar water as a first cleanse (on a cotton pad and swiped all over my face) and follow up with this balm as the second cleanse. I don’t wet my face before using this cleanser; I apply it directly onto dry skin. Then I massage it all around, over my eyes too, and rinse it off with water. It rinses off really well and does not leave any kind of residue behind.

I tried it on wet skin once (because I forgot) and it made it seep into my eyes. It didn’t sting, but it made my vision blurry for a few minutes because of the oils.

This balm does not strip my skin of moisture as some cleansers do and that’s why I love using it as the second cleanser. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh and soft.

This balm melts with the heat of your body so it liquifies as soon as you start rubbing it. It does have an oily constistency once melted, but it’s not too oily.

There is some added fragrance in this product and I find that it has this very fresh scent that I quite enjoy.

This is the first cleansing balm that I use so I have nothing to compare it to, but I’m loving it! It cleanses away all the yuck that needs to go and leaves my skin feeling great.

What cleansing balm(s) have you tried?
