Happy Halloween! What did you do this year? We went for a walk this afternoon to look at decorations. We brought a bag of candies with us and whenever our daughter spotted some pumpkins she would come to us and say “trick or treat!” and we’d give her candy in her bag. I think she had more fun doing this than regular trick-or-treating because it was like a scavenger hunt and she was so excited when she spotted pumpkins. Anywho. Since October is ending I better finish off my September posts so I can get on with my October ones. Here are my beauty and fashion purchases for September.

Body & Face Care

Aveeno – Skin Relief Body Wash (x2) – If you’ve read my September Empties then you know that this body wash has HG status for me now. I need this one when I want to exfoliate my body otherwise, I get itchy all over because of my Dermatographia. I bought two, the other one is in the shower. 🙂
Aveda – Cherry Almond Hand and Body Wash – My friend Vanessa carries Aveda products at her spa, Blush & Rose Beauty Bar. I wanted some scented body wash (for when I don’t exfoliate my body) so I decided to give this one a try. It smells so good! And it washes really well too.
Aveda – Foot Relief Moisturizing Creme – I also bought this product at Vanessa’s. It’s been so long since I’ve used this foot lotion and I forgot how good it smells! My feet are really happy too!
NYX – Mineral Matte Finishing Powder in Light/Medium – I use a setting/finishing powder daily to help control my oiliness. I always try new ones, and this is the latest one I picked up. It doesn’t have HG status, but it does the job; it works well.
Garnier – Whole Blends Castor Oil Remedy Shampoo – After trying this shampoo from an Influenster campaign, both my daughter and I loved it so I repurchased it.

Bio Seaweed Gel – Gel Nail Polish – I bought the UNITY shades from their September sale and I got a colour-changing shade from their Mermaid collection. The PHASES gel polish needs a base coat and top coat, but the UNITY ones do not, which is what I love about them.
Clothing
For size reference, I’m 5’6″ and weigh 135 lbs.

Walmart – Puffer Jacket – I’ve been wanting a colourful puffer jacket for a while since I already have a black one (diff. brand). This one was only $20 so I could not resist! On their site, they call this colour blue, but it’s definitely minty green. I wore it once this Fall, but it’s something I’ll wear more in the Spring (it’s really for then that I wanted it anyway). It doesn’t have a hood, and it comes with a little bag that you can pack the coat into. I bought a size XS.
WindRiver – Mist Tall Rubber Boots – I needed new rainboots so I went to Mark’s to try some on and these were perfect! I wanted tall boots that were adjustable because regular-sized boots are often too tight or too small for my calves. These ones have a buckle in the back and a gap that can be expanded. I find I often have to size down with rubber boots and these were no exception. I’m usually a size 9 when it comes to shoes (I can do 8 or 8.5 for sandals), and I bought these in a size 8. I wore them a couple of times already and they’re really comfy; I’m very happy with my purchase.

Walmart – Face Masks – These face masks come in packs of two for $6 and they fit us perfectly! There are two masks missing in this picture; a purple one that goes with the unicorn mask, and a dark blue mask with butterflies that goes with the light purple in the bottom right. The unicorn one is a kids’ size and fits my daughter well, but the other ones fit her well too. The tie-dye one in the bottom left is her favourite one.
And that is it for my September purchases. Have you tried any of these products?
– Chantal 🙂
