Can you believe that we’re halfway through 2020 already?! I don’t even know where the time goes because it’s all a big blur for me. Anywho, I finished a good amount of products in June so let’s take a look.

Body Care

Curel – Foot Therapy
I’ve had this product for SO LONG. I didn’t use to moisturize my feet all that often, and it was mostly whenever I did home pedicures, so it took a while to finish this one. I really like it though and will most likely purchase it again (once I’m done all my other foot lotions). It moisturizes well and doesn’t have a scent.
Hawaiian Tropic – SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion with Hydrating Ribbons
(R) You’ll be seeing this product often in my empties and purchases since it’s THE body sunscreen that I use, and we’re out in the sun daily this summer so I’m using it A LOT.
I Love – Body Wash in Elderflower Fizz, English Rose, and Violet Dreams *
These body washes smelled great and washed well. The English Rose scent was my favourite out of these three; the other two were ok, but just not scents I would personally purchase.
Face Care

1. Caudalie – Micellar Cleansing Water
This was a gift with purchase and I’m so happy that I got to try it; this is now my new favourite micellar water, my new HG! All the micellar waters I’ve tried before have all stung my eyes a little bit, but not this one! I’ve even over-saturated a cotton pad and squeezed it over my closed eye, and opened it right away, and NO stinging. And it smells so good!!! This is what I’ll be buying after I’m done the one I’m using now. Especially since my daughter likes to play with makeup at times, so I’ll feel better using this one on her eyes knowing that it doesn’t sting.
2. Caudalie – Lip Conditioner
This is another great product from Caudalie! One of the best lip balms I’ve tried, even maybe THE best. It moisturizes my lips perfectly and does not leave them yearning for more. I’ll be adding more to cart when I purchase the micellar water.
3. Monat – Samples of Eye Smooth and Rewind
Both these products were nice to use, and even though they lasted longer than the other Monat samples I’ve tried, I didn’t notice any difference in my skin to warrant buying the full size.
4. The Ordinary – Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
This is the first time I use a hyaluronic acid serum so at first, I didn’t have anything to compare it to, but I’m now using one from a diff brand so I can compare. This leaves a sticky finish on the face, but the new one I’m using does this too so I’m guessing that this is how hyaluronic acid serums feel? Sticky feeling aside, my face felt good once I was done all my skincare routine. I didn’t notice any difference to my skin between this and the Vichy Minéral 89 Daily Booster, so I’ll eventually be returning to the Vichy product because I prefer its feeling/consistency.
5. The Ordinary – Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
I bought this product because I have enlarged pores and niacinamide is supposed to help minimize their appearance. But I’m not sure if it did anything. It was easy to use and it absorbed easily into the skin. I will wait and see if I feel that my pores start to appear bigger now that I’m not using it anymore, and will repurchase if I feel that I need it.
6. SweetSpot – Unscented Gentle Wash
(R) This item is becoming a regular in my empties and purchases so that says it all. 🙂
7. Vichy – SPF 60 Ultra-fluid Tinted Lotion
I love using tinted sunblocks on my face and with an SPF of 60 this one was great! I did find that it oxidized on me a little bit though, especially if I used a bit too much. Overall, I really liked it, but I do prefer the La Roche-Posay one.
Hair Care

Bumble and bumble – Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Conditioner
This collection smells SO GOOD. It is pricy though. But it made my hair feel really soft. I found that by itself, the conditioner didn’t do much. It worked way better in combination with the shampoo (that I finished back in February). So I’ve been using it intermittently since then.
Cake – The ‘Do Gooder Dry Shampoo
This dry shampoo smelled SO GOOD, like sweet pastries, SO YUMMY! I don’t remember if it left a white cast in my hair when I first started using it, but at the end, it did. It’s ok because I always fluff out my dry shampoo. This is a great one to use if you want your hair to smell good.
And that’s it for June. I had a lot of really good smelling products in this batch, lol! Have you tried any of these?
– Chantal 🙂
